visitmerano.com is an information portal about Merano and its surroundings. You can use the site without registering; there are no user accounts, no newsletter and no shop. We only process personal data as far as necessary to run the website and to answer your enquiries, and we do not sell it.
Hosting and server logs
The website is run by a hosting provider on servers in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). Each time a page is accessed, the server automatically stores technical data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the page you came from. We need this data to run the website securely and without errors and to detect attacks (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data and is only kept as long as necessary for these purposes.
Contact by e-mail
If you write to us, we only use your details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete them once they are no longer needed for this and no legal retention obligations apply.
Cookies, statistics and external content
We use Google Analytics 4 for statistics, show maps from OpenStreetMap and, on some pages, videos from Vimeo. Which data goes to whom, how long cookies are stored and how you can object is explained in detail in our cookie statement.
People in photos and videos
Most photos and videos on visitmerano.com come from the operator himself. If you appear in a picture or video and do not want to, write to us at hello@visitmerano.it and we will remove it.
Links to other websites
We link to hotels, event organisers and our profiles on Facebook and Instagram. Only when you click a link do you leave our site; the privacy rules of the respective provider apply there.
Your rights
You have the right of access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Simply write to hello@visitmerano.it.
Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, www.garanteprivacy.it.
