There are over 80 different garden worlds to marvel at here, plus 2 viewing platforms, a Caribbean palm beach, a large aviary, among other things. In the evenings, on balmy summer evenings around the lake below the castle again and again.

Wandelhalle

A view over the entire Burgraviato, from the valley lowlands to the highest peaks of Merano. The Powder Tower is rightly considered one of the most popular sights of Merano!

The Steinach Quarter

When you walk through the alleys of this oldest part of town, you breathe in the cool scent of the Middle Ages, especially in summer when the sun shines relentlessly on Merano. Again and again, the walls here bear witness to great history from the Middle Ages, such as the Passeier Gate, a perfectly preserved city gate from the 13th century; but also the inscriptions of old, long-forgotten stores and trading activities, which are revealed again under flaking layers of paint.
